Dr. Tam is a lecturer in International Law department in HCMC University of Law who has over 16 years experience teaching law subjects in school.He is also a legal adviser to several law firms in Ho Chi Minh City, where he mainly has a two-year working life as a Senior legal advisor to Phuoc & Partners Law Firm, one of the leading law firms in Vietnam. Mr. Phan Ngoc Tam graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2000 from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. He continued his education with a higher degree than a Master’s Degree in Law in 2004 and a Doctor in Law in 2011 under a joint program between the University of Law of Ho Chi Minh City and the Faculty of Law – Lund University (Sweden).

During his time abroad, Dr. Phan Ngoc Tam has worked with many universities and researched institutions in the world, including the Faculty of Law – University of Copenhagen (Denmark), Suffolk Law School ( Boston, MA, USA), the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Taxation and Competition Law (Munich, Germany), Mahidol University (Bangkok, Thailand) and the World Intellectual Property Organization WIPO (Geneva, Switzerland).

 As a scholar and lecturer on law, Dr. Phan Ngoc Tam is an expert in many areas of law. In particular, his main field is teaching in International Justice, International Intellectual Property Law, International Trade Law (focus is on commercial dispute resolution, especially Commercial Arbitration) and Maritime Law and International Shipping. In addition, Dr. Tam is a researcher in the field of Intellectual Property Law in general and Trademark Law in particular. In addition, Dr. Tam has demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of other areas of law such as civil law, labor law, criminal law, administrative law and procedural law. He has also participated in many national and international professional seminars and symposia as well as published many works and articles in the prestigious law magazines.

In particular, Dr. Tam has been invited to be a speaker on many popular television programs such as Vietnam Television (VTV1), Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV7), and Vinh Long Television (THVL1) as well as being invited to interview and comment on various legal issues in many articles and magazines. Dr. Phan Ngoc Tam has a strong background in comprehensive legal knowledge, practical experience and profound legal expertise as well as the ability to understand and solve effective legal issues,scientific and systematic.
